How do Apple and Google sign-in work with a password and 2FA?

  1. EmanuelWorshipPro

A frequently asked question: I signed up with Apple or Google. Do I have a password? Can I turn on two-step verification?

Where it works. You can sign in with Apple or Google on worshippro.net, in the desktop app and on iPhone and iPad. On Android you can use Google or your email and password.

Same email, same account. If your Apple or Google address matches your WorshipPro account, the two are linked, and you can sign in either way. If you choose to hide your address with Apple, WorshipPro gets a different address, so that creates a separate account.

No password by default. An account created with Apple or Google has no password. You set one like this: on the sign-in page at worshippro.net, click Forgot your password?, enter your email, click Send link and open the link from the email. You need a password for two things: turning on 2FA, and signing in to the desktop app without internet.

2FA. You turn it on in the browser: click your church's name at the bottom left, then Account security. The app asks for the code when you sign in with your email and password. It doesn't ask for the code when you sign in with Apple or Google, so turn on two-step verification on your Apple or Google account too.
