A song isn't on the list. Where did it go?

A frequently asked question: I can't find a song in Songs, even though I know we have it, or I expected it to be in a songbook.

    Check these in order:

    1. The right church. If you belong to several, make sure the right one is open.
    2. Filters in the browser. In Music → Songs, click All above the list, set Status to All, and if you see a tag filter, click Show all songs. Songbook tabs and filters stay on until you change them.
    3. Search. You can search by title, number or author. For a songbook song, try its number.
    4. Drafts. Imported songs can be drafts. Set Status to Drafts and check there.
    5. Archive. A deleted song goes to the archive, unless it was a draft. Set Status to Archived, open the song and change its status back to Active in the editor. Archived songs don't show in the phone and tablet app.
    6. A songbook you haven't added. In the Songbooks tab, the Not added filter shows the ones your church doesn't have yet. Removing a songbook takes its unused songs off the list, and they come back when you add it again.
    7. Sync on your device. In the phone or tablet app, sync first: tap Sync in the Songs tab on iPhone and iPad, or pull the list down on Android.

If the song really isn't there, add it: see Songs: songbooks, new songs and moving from another program. Songs that aren't syncing to one device are covered in Changes don't appear on another device.
