Which Bible translations are available?
For every church:
- in English: King James Version and World English Bible,
- in Polish: Uwspółcześniona Biblia Gdańska, Biblia Gdańska (1632) and Nowa Biblia Gdańska.
On top of that there's a catalog of over a thousand translations in more than 700 languages, all public domain or under Creative Commons licences. You download them yourself:
- Phone and tablet: in the Bible reader, tap the translation's short name at the top, then Get more translations.
- Desktop app: Settings → Bible & offline → Offline Bible → Get more translations → Install.
A downloaded translation works without internet.
Translations under copyright, such as the NIV or the ESV, can appear only with the rights holder's permission, and sometimes only for the churches that have it. If you don't see a translation in the list, it isn't available to your church.
Is your preacher quoting from a translation you don't have? In the desktop app, the Bible view has an Own text mode for that. See The Bible on screen.
