Android check-in station: check-ins made without internet are lost if the app closes
What happens
When a check-in station loses internet, it says “No connection — check-ins and pickups are saved on this device.” On Android they're kept only while the app is running.
If the app closes, or Android shuts it down, before the connection returns, you lose that day's copy of the list and every check-in and pickup that wasn't sent. Labels also can't be printed without internet on Android.
iPhone and iPad stations save this to the device and aren't affected.
Who it affects
Churches running children's check-in on an Android phone or tablet where the connection can drop.
Workaround
- If your Wi-Fi is unreliable, run the station on an iPad or iPhone.
- On Android, keep the device on a charger, with WorshipPro on screen. Don't switch apps or lock the device.
- While the connection is down, keep a paper list of who was checked in and who picked up each child.
- When the connection returns, wait until the no-connection message is gone before you close the app.
If that doesn't help
If check-ins are lost, enter them again once you're back online, using your paper list. Then report it and tell us the device and roughly what happened.
