Giving page and QR codes: what works today
In short: your church can publish its bank details and a QR code for a bank transfer. Online payments by card or BLIK can't be turned on yet. This guide shows what you can set up now and what to tell people.
Everything here is for churches in Poland. The giving page works only when the church's currency is PLN.
What works today
- A public page at
/give/your-addresswith your church's bank details and Copy buttons. - A QR code for Polish banking apps that fills in the transfer.
- A printable A4 or A5 poster.
- Campaigns with a progress bar on that page.
What doesn't work yet
- Przelewy24. The Online payments screen has a form for a church's own Przelewy24 account, but Save access ends in an error, for every church. There's nothing you can change to fix it, so please don't open an account with Przelewy24 just for this.
- The Give button on the page. See the warning below.
- Give monthly. Reminders start only after a first paid online gift, so nothing happens today.
- The phone apps. There's no Give screen in the iPhone, iPad or Android app. My giving is on the web and in the Android app, but not on iPhone or iPad.
- Other currencies. With any currency other than PLN, the page shows “Giving page unavailable”.
Warning about the Give button. The page always shows the amount form and a Give button, and you can't hide them. Today that button takes no money. The person goes straight to a thank-you page saying the gift was received, but no payment happens, no donation is recorded and no confirmation is sent. When you share the page, tell people clearly to use Bank transfer details further down. When this changes, we'll update this guide.
Before you start
- Your church must be verified by our team. Until then the page shows “Giving page unavailable”, and a banner in the app says your church is awaiting verification.
- Check the currency in Settings → General → Profile.
- You need Bookkeeping (treasurer). Both screens below are for the treasurer only.
Setting up the page
- Finance → Settings → Bank accounts & cash. Add your account if it isn't there, and tick Show on the giving page. Only one account can have this tick. Without it, the page has no bank details and no QR code, because nothing is published by default.
- Finance → Settings → Online payments, section Giving page.
- Fill in Giving page address (slug): 3 to 40 lowercase letters, digits or dashes. Each address can be used by one church only.
- Leave Payment processor cost (%) at 0 and its checkbox unticked. They only apply to online payments.
- Tick Giving page is live (public) and click Save.
- Click Preview page → and check everything as a donor would.
You may see a KYC status line and a Start verification (KYC) button. You don't need them: they don't unlock anything today.
What the donor sees
At the top is “Support” with your church's name, then Campaigns if you have any, then the form with Amount (PLN), Designation (fund) and Email (for your receipt). Below the form is the part that works, Bank transfer details:
- Recipient: your church's name.
- Account number, with spaces for easy reading.
- Transfer title, always in Polish. It changes with the fund selected above.
- A QR code that follows the chosen amount and fund.
The QR code uses the format of Polish banking apps, so it won't work with a foreign IBAN. Inside the code, a long name is cut to 20 characters and a title to 32. The donor sees the shortened text in their bank before confirming.
Under the fund list, a short note describes the Polish tax relief for that fund's category. It's general information from the program, not tax advice. Ask your accountant.
Gifts don't record themselves
A transfer goes to your bank, and WorshipPro doesn't see it on its own. Enter it as a New donation (counting and donations) or import a statement in Bank → Statements & matching. The donor doesn't appear in anyone's records until you do. Assign a donor so the gift reaches their annual statement.
The printable poster
Printable poster → appears next to the address once the page is live. Choose A4 or A5 and click Print.
The large QR code opens the giving page in a phone's camera. The smaller one, next to “Or a bank transfer”, is scanned inside a banking app and appears only with a ticked bank account. Because of the Give button, point people to the smaller code when you announce the poster.
Campaigns
Finance → Donors & documents → Campaigns. Fill in Name, Goal (PLN) and Fund, then click Add. A campaign appears on the giving page if it has a goal and a fund.
The progress bar adds up donations in that fund, so a campaign needs its own fund to show a true figure. Members can pledge an amount under My giving: Your profile, family, giving and notifications.
Turning the page off
Untick Giving page is live (public) and click Save. Visitors, and anyone scanning a poster you've printed, will see “Giving page unavailable”. If you change the address, printed QR codes stop working too.
