Phones in the room: text on phones, remote and leading the musicians
The desktop app can connect to phones in three ways. Each one has its own code:
- Text on phones — people in the room read the words of the current slide on their own phone (room code and QR),
- Remote — someone on the team changes slides from a phone (6-digit remote code),
- Lead the musicians — musicians in the WorshipPro app get their charts and sheet music scrolling along with the projector.
All three work over the internet, so the computer has to be online.
Text on phones
For people who can't see the screen well, who sit behind a pillar, or who want to read the words in their own language. They don't need an account or an app.
- In Show, in the MAIN SCREEN panel, switch on Text on phones.
- You'll see a QR code, the Room code and the address
worshippro.net/live/CODE. Click the address to copy it. - Show the code in the room:
- Show QR on the main screen — a big board with the code and an invitation in Polish, English and Ukrainian, e.g. before the service,
- Small QR in the corner — a small code in the bottom right corner, over the slides.
The room code stays the same for this computer, so you can also print the QR code.
A person in the room scans the code with the camera and sees the current slide in large text — a song or Scripture. If the song has a translation, they choose the language. They can also make the letters bigger (A− / A+) and pick a light or dark background. You'll see the number of connected phones in the panel (“Phones connected: 23”).
The black screen hides the QR code too. Speaker notes never go to the audience's phones.
Remote on your phone
Someone on the team — or you, while you walk around the room — changes slides from a phone.
On the computer, once:
- Settings → Remote & musicians, section Phone remote.
- Type This computer's name, e.g. “Main hall” (useful when your church runs several presentations).
- Click Turn on the remote. You'll see the Active code: (6 digits) and the address phones join at. The remote turns on by itself the next time the app starts.
On the phone:
- The WorshipPro app (iPhone, iPad, Android): Church tab → Remote. The computer shows up in the list by itself. If it doesn't, type the code under Code from the computer and tap Connect. The remote in the app needs a role with the Band click & tempo permission (the Musician and Leader roles have it, for example).
- Any browser: go to the address shown on the computer,
worshippro.net/remote/CODE. The page first asks you to sign in with a WorshipPro account; after that the code is all you need. The code gives access to the remote, so don't share it publicly.
With the remote you can go to the next and previous slide, use black, clear and logo, jump to a slide or a plan item, run the timers and send a message for the musicians. In the app the buttons read Back, Next, Black, Hide text and Logo; in the browser, ← Prev, Next →, B · Blackout, C · Clear and L · Logo. For a presentation, the remote also shows the speaker notes — in the app and in the browser.
Stop remote in Settings disconnects the phones. It also turns off text on phones and Translate live, and the sermon captions go with it.
Stage display in a browser
With the remote on, Settings → Remote & musicians shows the address Stage display in a browser (read-only):
worshippro.net/stage/CODE. Open it on a tablet, a TV with a browser or a laptop by the stage. You'll see the lyrics with chords, the next slide, messages and the timer, in the layout set on the computer.Lead the musicians
Musicians on this service's roster open the plan in the WorshipPro app on iPhone, iPad or Android. Their own chords and sheet music scroll by themselves to the part that's on the projector. Anyone with the Band click & tempo permission can follow too, even if they aren't on the roster.
- Turn on the remote (see above) and start a plan from the server (not No plan (ad-hoc queue)).
- In Show, in the STAGE DISPLAY panel, switch on Lead the musicians. The counter shows “Musicians: N”.
In the app, a musician opens the plan and picks Follow presentation or Musicians' screen. It also works in a browser: sign in, open the plan's page and click Follow the presentation. Details: Band click and following the presentation.
While the switch is off, nothing is sent.
