Sunday school in WorshipPro has two parts: classes with their lists and attendance, and check-in on the day. Each child gets a label, the parent gets a pickup code, and the child goes home with whoever shows that code.

    Who uses what:

    • Sunday school: Edit (e.g. Leader): classes, attendance and reports in People → Sunday school.
    • Check-in: Manage (e.g. Administrator): creating stations. With Check-in: View (Leader) you can use existing stations, but not add them.
    • Class leaders and helpers: My class today.
    • Parents: Mine → Kids check-in.

First put families in the directory: children in a household, an adult's phone number, allergies. See The people directory: people, households, import and notes.

    Classes
    1. People → Sunday school → New class.
    2. Fill in Name (e.g. Little Ones), Age from, Age to and Room. Rooms come from the calendar.
    3. Choose a Class leader and Helpers. The lists show people with an account.
    4. Click Save, then click the class.
    5. On the Roster tab, click Add child. Suggested (by age) lists children with a birth date in the directory.

Start a session before the first Sunday. Check-in treats a class as running today only if it has a session today, or had one on this weekday in the last four weeks. In each class open Attendance, choose the Session date and click Start session. Without it, parents see "There are no kids classes today" and teachers see "Your class has no session today."

The same tab lets you mark Present, Absent or Late and Save attendance. Use it if you don't check children in.

    Stations

Open People → Sunday school → Check-in. In the Stations section, type a Station name and pick a Mode:

    • Self check-in: a tablet for parents, with no access to the directory,
    • Check-in and pickup: a desk with a helper,
    • Check-in only or Pickup only: when these are separate desks.

Click Add station. Then Use on this device opens it here. On another device, Copy token, sign in, open the same page and enter the Station token. The token works like a key to family data, so keep it private. The bin icon removes the station.

    At the desk
    • Find a family: type a name or phone number. The list shows the whole household, adults too, so tick only the children. Click Check in (2), then Print labels next to the code.
    • Scan QR code: for a family that pre-checked. The browser doesn't use the camera. Use a code reader that types like a keyboard, or paste the code.
    • Checked in today: click Check out, type the parent's Code and click Confirm. If the label is lost, use Check out manually (override) and give a reason. It stays in the history.

Searching at the browser desk doesn't assign a class. The label has no class or room, and the teacher's list shows the child as being elsewhere. To assign a class, use pre-check, self check-in or the station in the app.

    Labels

Labels come as a PDF sized 62 × 29 mm, which fits Brother DK-11209 rolls. Each child gets one with their name, class, room, allergies and the code. The parent gets one with the code and the children's names. Brothers and sisters share one code for the day.

    Self check-in

Click Start self check-in on this device. This signs you out, so parents can't reach your account. Or open /kiosk on the tablet and enter the token. Then a parent:

    1. Types the last digits of their phone (at least 4) and clicks Search.
    2. Chooses their family and ticks the children.
    3. Clicks Check in and print (2). The browser's print window opens, so set up the printer on the tablet first.

The screen shows first names only and returns to the start after 30 seconds. A family with a child already checked in today goes to the desk. To disconnect the tablet, hold the station name at the bottom for 3 seconds: Staff menu → Disconnect station.

    What parents do

In Mine → Kids check-in, tick the children and click Pre-check (2). A QR code appears, valid today only. Show it at the station. The pickup code comes on the label.

The same page shows Messages from the classroom, with an On my way button. In the phone app, this all sits in the Kids check-in section on the Church tab, on days with classes. iPhone and iPad show the QR code. The Android app doesn't, so Android users should open the page in a browser.

If you see "Your account is not linked to a record in the church directory yet", ask the team to link it.

    What teachers do

My class today is a card on the Dashboard (in the menu under Mine too, with Sunday school: Edit) and a section on the Church tab in the app. It lists the class with allergies and health notes.

    • Present checks the child in with the family's code.
    • Check out asks for the 4-character code from the parent's label. Teachers never see the codes.
    • Message sends a ready note, e.g. "Please come to the classroom", or a Custom message. The parent gets a phone notification, or an email without the app. The lock screen shows only the child's first name and class. The limit is 5 messages per child per day.
    Reports

People → Sunday school → Reports has First visits, Attendance and Class promotion. For promotion, set At the end of the school year in each class. Then someone with Check-in: Manage or People: Manage clicks Promote classes. You can undo it for 30 days.

    In the phone app

Church → Kids check-in → Station mode needs Check-in: Manage. On iPad and iPhone it scans with the camera, lets you pick a class, prints over AirPrint and works without internet, syncing later. On Android it scans and uses the system print window, but needs a connection. Church → Sunday school shows the classes on both.
