Suggest a roster finds nobody, or leaves out people who are on the team

What happens

Suggest a roster on Planning → Schedule only picks a person for a position that's ticked for them. The browser has no place to tick it, so a team member added in the browser has no positions.

You see a message that there are no empty places or that nobody on the team is available, or a count of places without a candidate, even though plenty of people could serve. Automatic replacement after a decline skips them too.

You also can't change in the browser how many people a position needs.

Teams set up only in the browser.

Workaround

Tick the positions once, in the phone or tablet app:

1. Open Church → Teams and pick the team.
2. Swipe the person left and tap Positions. People with no position are in the No position group.
3. Tick what they serve in. Repeat for the rest of the team.
4. Back in the browser, click Suggest a roster again.

Until then you can fill the roster by hand: drag people from the team list onto the table.

If that doesn't help

If people with ticked positions are still left out, check their blockout dates and their How often limit, because the suggestion respects both. If it still looks wrong, report it.
