The iPad app freezes when I go to the Bible

What happens

On iPad, the app can stop responding when you open the Bible tab or switch from it to another tab. Nothing reacts to touch. It can also close by itself when you minimize it.

We confirmed this on an iPad Air 13-inch with iPadOS 26.6, on a test build that shares its Bible screen with the App Store version. Not every iPad freezes, and other models on iPadOS 26 may be affected too. We haven't seen it on iPhone.

Who it affects

iPad users of the App Store version, mainly on iPadOS 26.

Workaround

If the app has frozen:

1. Swipe up from the bottom edge and hold to see your open apps.
2. Swipe WorshipPro up to close it.
3. Open it again.

On a service day:

1. Stay in Church and Songs on the iPad, and use stage mode. A reading that's in the plan still shows there, without the Bible tab.
2. If you need to read other passages, use a phone or another device.

If that doesn't help

If the app freezes in other places, or right after it opens, report it. Tell us your iPad model, your iPadOS version and what you tapped last.
