I signed up with Apple or Google and can't turn on 2FA
What happens
Turning on two-factor authentication asks for your password. An account made with Sign up with Apple or Sign up with Google has no password, so you can't get past Enable 2FA.
Who it affects
Everyone who signed up with Apple or Google. It matters most for administrators: if your church requires 2FA, you can lose access to People, Finance and Settings until you turn it on.
Workaround
Set a password first:
- In the menu at the bottom left, click your church's name, then Sign out.
- Go to
worshippro.net/loginand click Forgot your password? - Enter your account's email and click Send link.
- Open the link from the email, type a new password and click Change password.
- Sign in, then go to Account security and turn on 2FA. See Your account and a new church, step by step.
Apple and Google sign-in keep working after that. You just have a password as well.
If that doesn't help
We haven't confirmed that the link reaches accounts using Apple's Hide My Email. If no email arrives within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then report it. Don't post your email address in the topic.
