Your account and a new church, step by step
In about fifteen minutes you'll create an account, set up your church and secure your account. It's easiest on a computer, in the browser, at worshippro.net.
Someone from your church already uses WorshipPro? Don't create a second church. Ask for an invitation or the church link. See Your team in WorshipPro: invitations, church link and roles.
1. Create an account
- Go to worshippro.net/signup (or Sign in → Create an account).
- Tick I accept the Terms of Service and have read the Privacy Policy. You can't create an account without it, not even with Apple or Google.
- Click Sign up with Apple or Sign up with Google. Or type your Full name, Email and Password (at least 10 characters) and click Create account.
You're signed in straight away. There's no confirmation email to wait for.
2. Create your church
After signing up you'll see the Create your first church screen. Click Create a church. The wizard has two steps for an English church and four for a Polish one.
Step 1 — Church details
- Church name — the full name your team will see.
- Address (slug) — a short name used in web addresses, e.g.
bethany-church. Lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens are allowed (2–60 characters). Each address can be used only once. If yours is taken, you'll only find out at the very end: Create church shows a short technical error and nothing is created. Click ← Back, change the address and try again. - Language — Polski or English. Your church also sends its emails in this language.
- Timezone — the app suggests the timezone set on your computer. Service times, reminders and the calendar use it. You can change it later in Settings too.
Only with Polski as the language: Identity and Registry (GUS)
These two steps are for churches in Poland. With English you go straight to the agreements.
- Identity — Denomination and Legal form. Both are required. If nothing fits, choose Other in both.
- Registry (GUS) — NIP (tax ID) and REGON. Both are optional, and you type them by hand: Look up in GUS doesn't fill anything in at the moment. You'll see “GUS lookup is unavailable — enter the details manually.” You can also add them later: Settings → General, Profile tab, Registry details section.
Last step — Agreements
- Tick I accept: next to the Terms of Service and next to the Data Processing Agreement (DPA). show text expands the document.
- Click Create church.
Why a data processing agreement? In WorshipPro your church keeps its people's data, such as the directory and the serving roster. Your church is the controller of that data, and WorshipPro processes it on your behalf. The GDPR requires this.
The wizard has no payment step. You don't enter a card or choose a plan.
3. “Move to WorshipPro”, or skip it
Right after you create the church, the Move to WorshipPro wizard opens. If you've been using OpenLP, EasyWorship, OpenSong, WorshipTools or ProPresenter, pick that program. The wizard walks you through moving your songs, and from OpenSong and WorshipTools your services too. You can also choose Starting from scratch or Skip.
The Planning Center tile isn't connected yet. The import shows a “Demo mode” note and sample data instead of your library, so don't paste your token there and don't import the samples. Moving from Planning Center? Reply in this thread and we'll work it out with you.
You can come back to the wizard later: Settings → Data import, then The “Move to WorshipPro” wizard → at the bottom of the page. More in Songs: songbooks, new songs and moving from another program.
4. What's already in your new church
- You're the Owner, so you have full access.
- There are four ready-made roles: Administrator, Leader, Musician and Viewer. What they can do: Your team in WorshipPro: invitations, church link and roles.
- Songs already has 16 public-domain English hymns (tagged
starter), e.g. Amazing Grace, so you have something to try right away. Keep them or archive them. - The WorshipPro Standard slide theme is ready.
- The directory has three ready-made lists: “New in the last 6 months”, “Haven't served in a while” and “Birthdays this month”. See Lists and workflows.
- There are no service types, teams or plans yet. You'll add them in the next steps.
5. Church verification
At the top of the page you'll see a bar: Your church is awaiting verification. Everything works right away. We hear about every new church ourselves, so you don't need to ask for anything. We usually verify within a day, and then the owner gets an email: Your church is verified.
Until verification, some limits protect against spam and abuse:
- 200 MB for files (10 GB after verification),
- 20 email invitations a day, and 30 emails from your church a day in total. Anything over that isn't sent,
- no API tokens, AI assistant or AI suggestions.
More: Church verification.
6. Turn on two-step verification (2FA)
The owner and administrators can see your people's data, so their accounts need a second sign-in step. You'll see a bar: Turn on two-step verification (2FA) — 14 days left.
An account created with Apple or Google has no password, and 2FA can't be turned on without one. Set one first: in the menu at the bottom left, click your church's name, then Sign out. Go to worshippro.net/login, click Forgot your password?, enter your email and click Send link. Open the link from the email, type a new password and click Change password. Then sign in and come back here.
- Click Turn on 2FA in account settings. You can open the same screen from the menu at the bottom left: click your church's name (tooltip Switch church or account), then Account security.
- In the Confirm password to enable field, type your password and click Enable 2FA.
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app on your phone, e.g. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password.
- Below the QR code are your Backup codes. Save them now somewhere safe (the Copy all button). They disappear from the screen once you click Confirm & enable. You'll need them if you lose your phone.
- Type the 6-digit code from the app and click Confirm & enable.
If 2FA still isn't on after 14 days, the People, Finance and Church settings modules get locked. They unlock as soon as you turn it on.
On iPhone, iPad and Android
You can also create a church in the app: on your first sign-in, choose I'm setting up a church, or, if you don't belong to any church yet, go to Settings → Account → Create a church. All you need is a name and accepting two documents. You'll find the other settings in the browser.
