The full setup: projector, stage display and stream from one computer
One computer can drive the projector, a screen for the band and the lower thirds for your stream at the same time. This post shows how the pieces connect and in what order to set them up. It stays with general advice on hardware: check every connection on a test before you rely on it.

Find out how many external screens your computer can drive. It varies a lot between models, and it decides whether this setup is possible at all. Be careful with adapters that have two outputs: some show the same picture on both, and you need two separate screens. Test yours before you plan around it.
2. Connect the screens
- Connect the projector and the band's screen.
- In your system settings, set every screen as extended, not mirrored: System Settings → Displays on a Mac, Win+P → Extend on Windows.
- Keep the main window on your own screen. The app never covers that one by itself.
3. Assign them in WorshipPro
- Settings → Displays, then Show screen numbers.
- Main output: the projector.
- Stage display output: the band's screen. With three screens you have to assign this one, otherwise the app can't guess.
- Operator monitor: leave Same screen as the app, or pick a fourth screen at your desk if you have one.
- Leave Send output as soon as a saved screen is detected ticked.
Your choice is saved on this computer. The projector and the stage display come on by themselves from now on.
4. Add the stream
The simplest route is the overlay:
- Settings → Streaming, section Stream overlay (OBS Browser Source).
- Turn on Serve the overlay and Copy the This computer address.
- In OBS: Sources → + → Browser, paste the address, width 1920, height 1080.
The lower third shows the words of songs and Scripture over your camera picture, and disappears on a black screen, a logo or an empty slide. In Themes, open the theme marked DEFAULT, pick the Stream content type in the preview, and set the look there. Details, including NDI and the green Stream window, are in Streaming.
If your stream shows song lyrics, add your CCLI Streaming License # in the church profile, so the footer carries the right number.
5. Test under load
OBS with a camera works the processor hard, and the projector still has to change slides on time. Do one test as close to the real thing as you can: all screens on, a moving background if you use one, OBS sending, the plan running for half an hour. Sprinkle in a Bible verse and a song search.
If the computer struggles, move OBS to a second computer. There are two ways to get the lower third across:
- tick Allow other computers on the local network (streaming from a second machine) and use the Local network address in OBS,
- turn on Send over NDI and pick WorshipPro Lower Third in your production software.
Both work over your local network, without internet.
6. Sound
Clips with sound play through the computer's current audio output. Before Sunday, check which output your system is using, and that this signal reaches the mixer. Stream audio is a separate path: it goes from the mixer into OBS, as in the sketch.
7. Sunday order
- Connect all screens, then open WorshipPro.
- Check that the projector and the stage display came on, using the bottom bar and your own eyes.
- Open OBS, check that the lower third source is live, and start a private test.
- Run the Sunday morning checklist.
Two people work better than one here: one at the slides, one at the stream. If one person does both, set up OBS so it needs no touching during the service.
If the internet fails, the projector and the band's screen carry on as normal, and the overlay and NDI still work. Only the stream to viewers stops.
