Sunday morning: a checklist for the person at the projector

  1. EmanuelWorshipPro

This order leaves you time to fix things while the room is still empty. It assumes someone clicked Prepare service the day before (Sunday without internet). Shortcuts are for Mac: on Windows, press Ctrl instead of ⌘.

60 minutes before: power and screens
    1. Plug in the charger. WorshipPro doesn't stop the computer from going to sleep, so turn off sleep and the screen saver in your system settings. Turn on Do Not Disturb as well.
    2. Connect the projector and the band's monitor, then open WorshipPro.
    3. Look at the middle of the bottom bar: Online · live sync or Offline. Offline is fine as long as the plan was prepared.
    4. If your screens are assigned, the projector comes on by itself and shows a logo screen. No picture? Go to Nothing on the projector now, not at five to ten.
    50 minutes before: the plan
    1. Open Services (⌘6) and pick today's plan. If you have internet, click Prepare service again. It only fetches what's missing, including anything changed since yesterday. Wait for Service prepared. If you see Prepared with gaps, read the list of what's missing.
    2. Read the plan from top to bottom. Song missing means the song was deleted from the library: open the item with the pencil and use Change.
    3. Ask the preacher for the readings. Add them with Add: → Scripture, so you won't be typing them during the sermon.
40 minutes before: test what the room will see

The projector is already on, so anything you start goes straight onto the wall. Do this before people arrive.

    1. In Show (⌘1), click Start service. If the status bar says SCREEN OFF, click Go live, then click once in the main window so the keyboard stays with you.
    2. Walk to the back row and read the slide. Too small? Press +. Hard to read in daylight? Turn on Stronger contrast (bright room) in Settings → Slides.
    3. Step through a song with →. Try B, C and L, pressing each one twice: once on, once off.
    4. Test the Bible: press ⌘B, type a reference, press Enter.
    5. If the plan has a clip with sound, play a few seconds and check that the sound reaches the room.
    30 minutes before: the band
    1. Open the stage display with ⌘⇧S and ask the band whether they can read it. The layout is the list in the STAGE DISPLAY panel.
    2. Send a test message: press M, type a word, press Enter. Take it down with ⇧M.
    3. If the band follows the presentation in the app, switch on Lead the musicians in the same panel. It needs the phone remote to be on, and internet.
    20 minutes before: the room
    1. Using Text on phones? Switch it on in the MAIN SCREEN panel and click Show QR on the main screen. Click Take the QR off the screen when you're done.
    2. Start the countdown: in the same panel, set the start time and click Count down. While it runs, the slide text and the logo step aside, and it wins over Black. Shortly after zero it goes away by itself.
    3. Agree with the leader on a signal for repeats and last-minute changes. A nod you've both agreed on beats guessing.
5 minutes before: hands on the keyboard
    1. Click the first item in the PLAN panel, so you start on slide 1. The countdown keeps the text off the wall until it ends.
    2. Keep this short list in your head: → next, ← back, B black, R chorus, ⌘B Bible, ⌘K search songs.
    During the service
    • Items such as Sermon, Header and Announcement put their title on the wall. If you'd rather show a clean background while someone preaches, press C.
    • A late request? A new service from a blank page explains +, ▶ and cueing an item as next.
    • Lost for a moment? Press B first and find your place in peace. A black screen for three seconds is calmer than slides flying past.
    Afterwards

Click End in the plan panel, then Stop. If a plan shows "not sent yet", leave the computer on the network for a moment: changes go to the server by themselves.
