Church verification: why it exists and what it unlocks

A new church works from the first minute. You don't wait for anyone to set up songs, plans or a team. Until our team verifies the church, though, a few limits apply. They protect the shared server and other people from spam, oversized uploads and fake fundraising.

    How it works
    1. You create a church, and we hear about it automatically. There's no form to fill in and nothing to request.
    2. People who manage members (Owner, Administrator) see the bar Your church is awaiting verification. Hide puts it away until your browser session ends. The phone app shows the same bar on the Church tab.
    3. Someone from our team looks at the church and decides. We usually do this within a day.
    4. The owner gets the email Your church is verified. The bar disappears and the limits end right away.

We don't publish what exactly we look at. Verification is about stopping abuse, and a checklist would only make that harder. An ordinary church has nothing to prepare.

    What works from the start

Everything you need for Sunday: songs, shared songbooks, service plans, the team and roster, the Bible, the desktop app, the phone apps, and the church link and code.

    Limits until verification
    • 200 MB for files. This covers media, sheet music and attachments. Songs from shared songbooks don't use this space. If a file doesn't fit, you'll see a message saying so. An import can save songs and services without PDF sheets, and you add them after verification.
    • 20 new email invitations in 24 hours. One invitation can be resent twice in 24 hours. The church link and code have no such limit: Your team in WorshipPro: invitations, church link and roles.
    • 30 church emails in 24 hours in total. This covers serving requests, reminders, invitations and everything else your church sends by email. Anything above that is skipped, and nobody sees a warning. Push notifications in the app aren't limited.

The last limit is the easiest to miss. If you're planning a big roster before verification, send invitations in smaller groups, or ask people to install the app.

    What verification unlocks
    • 10 GB for files.
    • No daily limit on email invitations and church emails.
    • API tokens, the AI assistant and connected apps: Integrations.
    • The public giving page, for churches that use PLN.
    • AI suggestions in WorshipPro, a switch on the Integrations tab. Today the drafts come from your church's own history, because no AI provider is connected.

Verification alone isn't enough for a few features. Webhooks, online payments, text messages and live sermon translation also need a connection on our side that isn't ready yet, so they don't work even in a verified church.

    If it's taking longer

If more than a day has passed:

    1. Write to contact@worshippro.net from the owner's address, with the name of your church. We reply on business days, usually within 1–2 days.
    2. Keep working in the meantime. Nothing you've set up is lost or needs repeating.
    3. Invite people with the church link rather than by email.
    4. Save large files for later.

Don't set up a second church to speed things up. It starts from the same point, and songs, plans and people don't move over by themselves.

Check your spam folder too. The email goes only to the owner, so an administrator should watch for the bar disappearing instead.

    If a church is blocked

This is rare, for example when a church breaks our Terms of Service. Members then see the Church blocked screen instead of the church, and Choose another church takes them back to their list. The owner gets an email, sometimes with a note from us. The church's emails and API tokens stop working.

If you think this is a mistake, write to contact@worshippro.net.
